Relief centres in Ranau and Marakau closed

The mud flood relief centres at the community halls in Ranau and Marakau closed at around 11am this morning, and all 537 victims from 123 families placed in the two centres were allowed to return to their homes.
Ranau District Official Faimin Kamin said however, that the relief centre at the Kundasang Mini Hall housing 218 flood victims from Kampung Mesilau, was still operating.
Kampung Mesilau residents were evacuated to the relief centre in Kundasang since Monday, as a precautionary measure against the threat of mud floods at Sungai Mesilau 1 and Mesilau 2, in order to avoid any untoward incident.
