Remains of Dr Sundaran arrive at Subang RMAF base

The remains of Datuk Dr Sundaran Annamalai, who died in a helicopter crash in Sarawak on May 5, arrived at Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Base here, Saturday night.
The C130H aircraft carrying the remains of the Plantation Industries and Commodities Ministry secretary-general arrived at around midnight. It left Kuching RMAF Base at about 9.15pm.
On hand to receive the remains were family members and friends who were filled with sorrow.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa and Armed Forces Chief, Gen Tan Sri Zulkifeli Mohd Zin.
Sundaran's remains will be taken to his residence at Jalan USJ 2/4Q, Subang Jaya for last respects by family members and friends.
Sundaran leaves two children and wife, Datin Talagavathi R. Karapayah.
Sundaran began as Section Head (Multilateral) in International Economic Analysis, Finance Ministry before being appointed Fiscal and Finance Sector Head in the same ministry in 2008.
Four bodies were found Saturday bringing the death toll to five people. The search for another passenger continues Sunday.
The body of Deputy Plantation Industries and Commodities Ministry, Datuk Noriah Kasnon was found on Friday.
The second body was found at 8.30am Saturday, the third body at noon, the fourth body at 3.20pm while the fifth body was found at 6pm.
The second body was identified as that of Dr Sundaran while the third was that of Ahmad Sobri Harun, who was Noriah's bodyguard.
