Renault Talisman and Megane scores at the Euro NCAP

Renault officially launched their brand new D-segment contender earlier this year and the new generation Renault Megane ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show. Both cars sport the new Renault front fascia which will be seen in future generations of the Renault badged cars.

Both new cars have now followed in the footsteps of the Kadjar and Espace by scoring full stars at the passive safety ratings after being tested by the Euro NCAP. The Talisman and Megane had benefited from the use of the CMF C/D platform that features high elastic limit steel for the spars, side rails and cross members. A square mm of the steel can withstand a load of 120kg.

Along with the CMF platform, the Talisman and the Megane also comes with a host of driver aids like land departure warning, Active Emergency Braking System and more to help score that five star record.

When the Renault Talisman and the Renault Megane makes it to Malaysia, they will come with top honours under their fenders giving us more options for a “safe” car.
