The National Space Agency (Angkasa) refuted an online website claiming that the Earth will experience three days of total darkness on December 21, 22, and 23.
The article quoted the head of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Charles Bolden, which they claim was from NASA’s website http://science.nasa.gov.
NASA confirmed that it has never published such statement on its website.
The rumour started circulating citing that the pitch black scenario occurs due to a solar storm.

HOAX: NASA has never published any statement regarding the Earth will be in darkness for three days
Angkasa said that the earth will not experience complete darkness during the phenomena, adding that the earth is securely layered with magnetosphere)which causes the solar storm to be deflected and turns weak before it enters earth.
Angkasa also confirmed that a similar hoax had been circulating in 2012. The same website also claimed that doomsday will occur in Dec, 2012.
