KUALA LUMPUR: The results of applications to further study at public institutions of higher education (IPTA) for students who have completed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) will be announced on June 28.
The Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) in a statement today said the results of places at public universities (UA), polytechnics, community colleges (KK) and public skills training Institutions (ILKA) at certificate, foundation and diploma levels for the 2024/2025 Academic Session can be viewed from 12 noon on the date until 7 July at 5 pm.
"Results can be checked online via the link https://jpt.utm.my, https://jpt.uum.edu.my, https://jpt.unimas.my, https://jpt.ums.edu .my and https://jpt.umt.edu.my, or through the UPUPocket mobile application on smartphones," according to the statement.
According to KPT, confirmation of acceptance of offers starts from June 29 to July 7 on the IPTA and ILKA websites.
The statement mentions that an official offer letter will be issued by IPTA and ILKA to those who are successful from June 29 after the candidate confirms that they agree to accept the offer within the specified period.
For unsuccessful applicants or those only offered certificate level studies, can submit appeal applications through the Unit Pengambilan Universiti (UPU) for admission to UA and polytechnics at https://upu.mohe.gov.my within 10 days from June 28 at 12 noon until July 7 at 5 pm.
"Appeals to Community Colleges and ILKA can be forwarded directly to the institution concerned without going through UPUOnline. Place offers for the 2024/2025 Academic Session are final and anyapplications to change study programmes and IPTA/ILKA are not allowed.
"The appeal selection policy is subject to the availability of places offered according to the study programme after the registration of new students is completed," according to the statement.
