A four-year old boy dies after he was run over by a reversing car in Kampung Paya, Teluk Kumbar, here, last night.
Chu Jie died at the Balik Pulau Hospital from head and bodily injuries from the 8.30pm incident.
South West District police chief, Supt Lai Fah Hin said the victim was with his six-year-old sister in the parked car with its engine running as their mother had gone into the house to fetch something.
"The victim inadvertently engaged the reverse gear, panicked and jumped out of the moving car and was run over," he said here, today.
Meanwhile, Lai said a 58-year-old man, Daud Maidin D. Abdul Gaffor was killed when his motorcycle collided with a Pos Laju lorry at Jalan Bayan Lepas-Teluk Kumbar, here, last night at 8pm.
