Rina Harun tests positive for COVID-19

KUALA LUMPUR:Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun, is confirmed positive for COVID-19 after getting her screening test results last night.

She underwent a COVID-19 screening test at the Putrajaya Health Clinic yesterday morning.

"YB Datuk Seri Rina was admitted to the Sungai Buloh Hospital ward at 11.00 am today for the hospital to carry out further monitoring and will comply with all guidelines related to COVID-19 infection set by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH)," according to a statement released by the ministry today.

Following that, Rina, who is also the Member of Parliament for Titiwangsa, apologised for the inconvenience that occurred following the latest developments regarding her COVID-19 infection.

"She will also ensure that, in her absence, the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development will continue working on the welfare, defence, empowerment and development of target groups and that all operations of the Ministry will continue as usual," the statement said.

Yesterday, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Economy), Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed was also confirmed positive for COVID-19.
