Muslims all over the country are now allowed to celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha and conduct ‘korban’ activities expected on July 31.
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, however, reminded that the celebration was still subject to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) of the Islamic authorities.
“For the category of festivities and religious activities, I would like to share the good news. The celebration of Hari Raya Aidiladha and ‘korban’ activities will be allowed subject to the SOP of the Islamic authorities.
"For congregational prayers and religious activities in mosques and houses of worship, the relaxation of allowing more congregants according to the floor area of mosques or house of worship is being refined by the government and will be announced shortly," he said in his special address on the Movement Control Order (MCO) here on Sunday.
