The government will implement seven strategies during the implementation of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) effective June 10.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the strategies would be implemented through the Special Ministerial Committee on Implementation of the RMCO chaired by Senior Minister of Defence, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

At the state government level, the Prime Minister said the strategies would be implemented through committees established by the Menteri Besars and Chief Ministers.

The seven strategies are:

• Strengthening Public Health;

• Legislation and Enforcement;

• Strengthening of Border Controls;

• Full Opening of Economic Sectors;

• Practice of New Normals;

• Empowering Community Responsibilities; and

• Protection of Vulnerable Groups.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister said the implementation of the strategies would also require the cooperation and support of all parties including the federal and state government machinery, the private sector, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and community leaders.

Earlier, in his special address on the Movement Control Order (MCO), Muhyiddin announced that the RMCO would be effective from June 10 to August 31, ending the implementation of the Conditional MCO (CMCO).
