RMCO violation: 'Datuk Seri', 'Datuk' arrested after struggling with police

Four individuals were arrested in an operation at an entertainment premises in Bandar Hilir, early this morning.
Four individuals, including a man with the title 'Datuk Seri', were arrested after struggling with police officers during an operation of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) at an entertainment premises in Bandar Hilir, here early this morning.
In the incident at about 2.50 am, all those aged 27 to 41 were allegedly dissatisfied after the police wanted to conduct an inspection on them, resulting in one of the members on duty suffering injuries.
Melaka Tengah District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Afzanizar Ahmad said during the RMCO period, the premises only conducted cafe business and no entertainment activities, apart from also having a valid business license from the Local Authority (PBT).
However, the inspection found that the business was run overtime where there were still some customers and all of them were compounded under Regulation 3 of the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Regulations (PPPDPPB) (No 8) 2020.
He said, when arrested, two of the four suspects claimed to have the status of 'Datuk Seri' and 'Datuk', apart from one of them being a partner of the owner of the premises.
All of them were later remanded for a day to assist in the investigation under Section 353 of the Penal Code for using criminal force to intimidate civil servants from carrying out their duties.
