The Mass Rapid Transit Corporation (MRT Corp) will be closing down few roads to due to the preparation works for the construction of MRT.

Following below are the effected roads :

Jalan Cheras (Kajang Bound), Taman Pertama - BHP Petrol Station : The middle lane on Jalan Cheras (Kajang Bound) will be partially closed for a stretch of 240 metres from Taman Pertama (KM2.0) to the BHP Petrol Station (KM2.2) for three nights, effective from 29 April 2013 to 1 May 2013, from 10:00pm to 5:00am.

Jalan Cheras (Kajang Bound),Taman Pertama - Taman Midah : The narrowing of the left-most and middle lanes on Jalan Cheras (Kajang Bound) from Taman Pertama to Taman Midah which was previously implemented on 6 October 2012 to 8 April 2013 is extended for another one year from 29 April 2013 to 29 April 2014.

Grand Saga Highway (Kuala Lumpur Bound and Kajang Bound) : There will be road realignment on Jalan Cheras-Kajang (Grand Saga Highway) for both directions, on 29 April 2013 to 31 October 2014. The realignment starts near Exit 703 Telekom interchange (Kajang Bound) and near Exit 704 Bandar Tun Hussein Onn interchange (KL-bound).

New traffic lanes have been constructed at the left-most side for both directions. As such, there is no reduction of lanes. The realignment is necessary to facilitate preparation works for the construction of MRT piers on both sides, as well as a 120-metre special crossing that goes across the highway.

Jalan Damansara (Taman Tun Dr Ismail) : The partial closure of the right-most lane on Jalan Damansara from the Petronas petrol station (TTDI) to the Indah Water Konsortium Sewerage Treatment Plant (TTDI) which was previously implemented from 15 January 2013 to 30 April 2013 will be extended for another EIGHT MONTHS from 1 May 2013 to 31 December 2013.

This 1.2-kilometer closure stretch is for both directions of the road (Kuala Lumpur-bound and Petaling Jaya-bound). Currently, to make up for the closed lanes, works to open a new lane in both directions is in progress to ensure the number of lanes remains unchanged.

MRT Corp apologises for the temporary inconvenience and further announcement will be made if there are any changes.
