Robbers board vessel in Singapore Strait - MMEA

At least six robbers boarded a vessel in the Strait of Singapore at 7am today, according to the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency.
MMEA director-general Admiral (Maritime) Datuk Ahmad Puzi Ab Kahar said in a Twitter message that the robbers went aboard the MT Almi Spirit at 7am and that MMEA boats had intercepted the vessel.
"ALMI SPIRIT was boarded by six robbers in the Strait of Singapore at 7am.
It (the vessel) has been intercepted by KM Rawa and a speedboat in Tanjung Pelepas, Johor," he said in the message.

The MMEA Southern Region said Johor Baharu District Maritime enforcement chief Capt (Maritime) Aminuddin Abd Rashid would hold a media conference at 1.30pm today on the incident.
