Rogue chef murders restaurant operator over salary dispute

A restaurant operator, who had just celebrated his 37th birthday was found slain to death in Lahad Datu, Sunday.
The victim died from wounds on his head, neck and arm in the 5pm assassination after an argument involving the restaurant cook over salary dispute.
Restaurant employees said the suspect fled the scene immediately before he was arrested by the police an hour before the incident.
According to Lahad Datu chief police, ACP Hamzah Ahmad at a press conference here this morning, the suspect known as Chef John had been arrested by the police at approximately 5.45pm, merely an hour after the incident after a report was lodged at 5.15pm.

The victim died on the spot from the wounds and was brought to Lahad Datu General Hospital for a post-mortem.
The case said police had been classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
