Prime Minister's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor today launched the Malaysian Srikandi Insaniah Welfare Organisation's (Srikandi Malaysia) website to expand its social services to people across the country.
In her speech, Rosmah said the website was launched with the aim to enable the non-governmental organisation to move in line with the people's need to have information at their fingertips.
"The website must be well-maintained and frequently updated to ensure that the public are able to get the latest information," she said, adding that the initiative must also be emulated by other non-governmental organisation.
Also present were Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Ahmad Maslan, who is also Srikandi Malaysia advisor, president Norashikin Abd Ghani and 1Malaysia Volunteers Alliance president Tunku Muhammad Saharil Tunku Mansor.
At present, Srikandi Malaysia has over 1,000 voluntary members nationwide.
Meanwhile, Rosmah also presented Aidilfitri donation and duit raya to 200 orphans in Federal Territories at the event.
She also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Srikandi Malaysia and entertainment news portal, Murai Dot Com.
