RTD: Free replacement for lost driving license for flood victims
To lighten the burden of flood victims, the Road Transport Department (RTD) will replace damaged or missing licences for free.
In giving this assurance, its director-general, Datuk Ismail Ahmad said, however, the flood victims must lodge a police report first and bring along a copy of the report to obtain a new licence.
"The RTD is concerned over the plight of flood victims in the country, and hopes to ease their difficulties," he told a media conference after opening a driving school in Batu Buruk here today.
Normally, a penalty of RM20 would be imposed by RTD for loss of licence, said Ismail.
