Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes's Baby's Name Leaked!

Famously private couple Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes welcomed their first child last month, and now, we finally have a name.

The couple, who welcomed the baby on Sept. 12, have named her Esmeralda Amada Gosling, according to a birth certificate obtained by TMZ. The baby’s name said to be linked to family and has sentimental value.

Esmeralda was born at Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, Calif. at 10:22 a.m.

Perhaps not coincidentally, both are names of characters that Mendes has played in the past. The actress played a woman named Esmeralda in the TV series, "V.I.P." and Amada was the name of the woman she played in the 2007 film, "We Own the Night."

Ryan and Eva recently collaborated on his directorial debut, Lost River, which premiered at Cannes in May. The actor told The Times shortly after he began dating the star that he would "make movies until I make babies”.



Eva presently has no film projects forthcoming, but Ryan is attached to two major motion pictures. He is set to star in the Untitled Terrence Malick Project and mystery crime thriller The Nice Guys, which are due for release in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
