Saarani begins duties as Menteri Besar

IPOH: Datuk Saarani Mohamad began his official duties as the new Menteri Besar of Perak this morning.

Dressed in a green baju Melayu, he arrived at Perak Darul Ridzuan Building at about 8.45 am and was greeted by State Secretary Datuk Abdul Rahim Ahmad Suaidi.

Also present were Perak State Legal Adviser, Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin and State Financial Officer, Datuk Zulazlan Abu Hassan.

The brief ceremony began with a prayer followed by a photo session with the heads of state departments.

He then scanned the time recorder card at the office entrance at 9 am before entering his office.

The Menteri Besar then held a press conference at the Banquet Hall after being given a briefing at his office.
