KOTA KINABALU:The Sabah Civil Defence Force (APM) is monitoring two districts in the state as several low-lying areas are coming under water from nearby rivers.
In a statement today, APM said the two districts are Tenom and Beaufort involving 23 villages but there was no evacuation to relief centre so far.
The water levels of Sungai Padas and Sungai Pagalan are being monitored following the uncertain weather," said the statement.
APM also said the relief centre at Mohd Dun Banir Hall in Beaufort has been opened as preparation to shelter flood victims.
Several roads in the villages are also not passable except for heavy vehicles and they are Jalan Kampung Binunuk, Jalan Kampung Suasa, Kampung Lago and Jalan Mahkamah.
