Datuk Seri Musa Aman said Nurul Izzah and Tian Chua have not only insulted the people of Sabah, but deliberately underestimated the sacrifices of the security forces who fought and died in order to defend the security of Sabah.
The Sabah State Assembly today passed a special motion to ban two PKR vice-presidents, Nurul Izzah Anwar and Tian Chua, from entering the state.
The special motion tabled by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah was seconded by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman and approved after almost two hours of debate.
Tan, in his motion, also wanted an investigation to be carried out and appropriate legal action to be taken against Nurul Izzah and Tian Chua.
This move was taken over the meeting earlier this month between the duo and Jacel Kiram, the daughter of the Jamalul Kiram III, the self-proclaimed Sulu Sultan who ordered the Lahad Datu incursion in eastern Sabah in 2013 in which a number of Malaysian security forces personnel were killed.
"Meanwhile, any party associated with the intrusion in Lahad Datu, Jacel H. Kiram or anyone who is in contact with them should be barred from entering Malaysia," Tan said.
On Nov 9, pictures of Nurul Izzah's meeting with Jacel were circulated online.
Tan said the Lembah Pantai MP's (Nurul Izzah's) controversial meeting with Jacel who is closely connected with the Lahad Datu intrusion is an unforgivable act.
Nurul Izzah and Batu MP Tian Chua's meeting with Jacel had made people more skeptical and suspicious that they had been manipulated by elements who are threatening the security and sovereignty of the country, he added.
Tan stressed that security and sovereignty were issues close to the heart of the Sabah people and when anyone tries to communicate and mingle with the enemy it is seen as an affront to the sovereignty of Sabah and tantamount to treason.
"It has opened wounds that have not healed yet. People have become skeptical whether the duo are leaders or the enemy within," he said.
Tan also questioned Nurul Izzah's request for assistance for the release of her father former Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim from prison, but she made no appeal for help to secure the release of kidnapped hostage Bernard Then Ted Fen, who was beheaded by Abu Sayyaf terrorists .
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said Nurul Izzah and Tian Chua have not only insulted the people of Sabah, but deliberately underestimated the sacrifices of the security forces who fought and died in order to defend the security of Sabah especially at Tanduo.
Musa said that he would take into consideration all proposals and views expressed by the members of the assembly before he decides on the appropriate action to be taken using the available immigration laws to prevent those who are considered a security threats from entering the state.
According to Datuk Mohamad Alamin (BN-Bongawan), Nurul Izzah's actions was not a good example to young people.
Datuk Mohd Suhaili Said (BN-Tungku) said Nurul Izzah and Tian Chua had not respected the feelings of the people of Lahad Datu and wanted the duo to be investigated under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (SOSMA).
