Sabah Police will investigate kidnap claim by teenager - Hamza
Sabah police will investigate a claim by a teenager of being kidnapped by a group of men from her house in Kampung Tanahgian near here Monday.
State Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib said the claim was being investigated as a crime-related case.
He said this to Bernama when asked to comment on a report by Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) Monday night that a 14-year-old girl claimed that she was kidnapped from her home by a group of men.
The girl claimed that she was later abandoned and tied to an oil palm tree at a nearby plantation, before being rescued by security personnel.
Meanwhile, Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) director-general Datuk Mohammad Mentek, when contacted, told Bernama that the claim must be investigated to determine its authenticity.
