The ashes of Sabah earthquake victim, Lim Choon Seong, 45, arrived at the Penang International Airport, Bayan Lepas today.
Lim's ashes, placed in a bag and carried by a woman believed to be his mother, was flown from Sabah by AirAsia flight AK 5323 and arrived in Penang at 4.35pm.
Also seen accompanying the ashes of the deceased was a woman believed to be Lim's wife and his six-year-old son.
On arrival at the airport, Lim's mother was seen teary-eyed and trying to avoid a group of reporters and photographers waiting at the airport all morning.
Reporters' efforts to interview the victim's family failed when the three of them hurried out of the airport, before getting into a vehicle waiting outside.
It is understood that the ashes will be buried at Air Itam.
So far, 16 people have been confirmed killed in the 6.0-magnitude earthquake which struck Ranau at 7.15am on Friday.
