Sabah SKJC received RM68 million from federal govt over eight years - Wee
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said the allocation was to help fulfill the needs of the schools, which included problems faced by the schools such as hazardous buildings.
The government had allocated RM68 million to National Type Chinese Schools (SJKC) in Sabah within a period of eight years, proving the government's concern for its people of all races and religion.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said the allocation was to help fulfill the needs of the schools, which included problems faced by the schools such as hazardous buildings.
An allocation amounting to RM6,565,000 was presented by Sabah Special Tasks Minister Datuk Teo Chee Kang, who represented Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman, to 66 SJKC in the state here today.
Wee said, Sabah was among the three top states who received the allocation from the federal government.
He also commended the state government's initiative to provide additional allocations to SJKC and government aided schools (SBK) in the state, over and above allocations from the federal government.
