The search-and-rescue (SAR) operations for the headmistress of Sekolah Kebangsaan Tamat Keramat, Jashiah Rabu, 53, was suspended today after no further positive indicators were found.
Hulu Selangor District Deputy Police Chief DSP Abdul Rahman Yahya Zikri said the operations centre in Kampung Buluh Telur, Kuala Kubu Bharu was closed at 9am and will only be re-opened if there were new indicators.
"Police urge the public with information relating to Jashiah to go to the nearest police station," he told Bernama here today.
Besides the police, the operations also involved the Fire and Rescue Department, the Department of Civil Defence, Malaysian Commando Veterans, the Malaysian Volunteers Department, the General Operations Force, forest rangers, mountain guides and villagers.
Jashiah was last seen by her neighbours leaving her house on the evening of Oct 23 and when her husband Ruzilan Omar, 57, returned home, he found their front door ajar and Jashiah not at home.
It is understood that Jashiah headed towards the Bukit Kutu Forest Reserve after leaving home in Taman Seri Seruling on foot and hitching a car ride for about 10 kilometres.
