Sarawak BN to field Jamilah Anu to defend Tanjung Datu seat

Sarawak Barisan Nasional has chosen Puan Sri Jamilah Anu, the widow of former Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem, as its candidate for the Tanjung Datu by-election.

Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg, who is also Sarawak BN chairman and Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) president, announced this after chairing a special meeting on the by-election at PPB's headquarters in Jalan Bako here today.

"I have discussed the candidacy with the PBB and BN leadership. Our (Sarawak BN) candidate for the Tanjung Datu by-election is Puan Sri Jamilah Anu, the widow of the incumbent," he said. - BERNAMA
