Sarawak to dissolve assembly April 11

The Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (DUN) will be dissolved on April 11 to make way for the state's 11th election.
The Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (DUN) will be dissolved on April 11 to make way for the state's 11th election, said Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem on Thursday.
He said the date was agreed by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud after seeking audience with him this morning.
"The TYT (Taib Mahmud) requested that the state assembly be dissolved because only he can (has the poweer) to dissolve the state assembly.
"After that, it is up to the Election Commission (EC) on when to hold the nomination day and polling day," he said at a press conference today.
