KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawak is set to move into Phase Two of the National Recovery Plan (PPN) this Wednesday (July 14), says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He said the decision was made after examining the state's threshold value indicators.
"The special meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) agreed for Sarawak to make the transition from Phase One to Phase Two based on the achieved threshold values for the three main indicators that have been set," he said in a statement today.
Kelantan, Terengganu, Perak, Pahang and Perlis had moved to Phase Two of the PPN from July 5, while Penang did so on July 7 and Sabah on July 10.
Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri announced that the government would allow all customer service centres of telecommunications companies located inside shopping malls and hypermarkets to operate throughout the PPN from tomorrow (July 13).
Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri said the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) would be implemented in several localities in Sabah, Pahang, Johor and Sarawak from July 14 to 27.
In Sabah, the EMCO will be implemented at phases one, two and three of Taman Muhibbah, Beaufort as well as around Kampung Patikang Ulu, Keningau (Kampung Patikang Ulu, Focus Lumber factory and quarters, Veracity factory and quarters, Hasil Jadi factory and quarters; IDA Driving Centre and quarters for Indonesian citizens).
Also subject to the EMCO in the state are three localities in Penampang, namely Kampung Madsiang, Beverly Hills Apartment Phase Two and Kampung Kobusak.
In Pahang, the EMCO will be implemented in Felda Lembah Klau, Mukim Gali, Raub; while in Johor it will be implemented at Felda Maokil, Muar; and in Sarawak at Kampung Kendaie and Kampung Bukit Batu, Lundu, Kuching.
The EMCO at CLQ Gamuda Garden, Kundang Jaya, Rawang, Selangor has been extended from July 14 to 19, and the one at Flat Taman Benus Jaya, Bentong, Pahang has been prolonged from July 14 to 27.
He added that eight EMCOs in Selangor, Sabah and Sarawak would end by tomorrow as scheduled.
On SOP compliance, Ismail Sabri said 514 individuals were arrested yesterday, while 17 premises comprising factories, business premises and construction sites were ordered to close.
