Sarawak police nab 39 in illegal 4D, cyber gambling

The police detained 22 women and 17 men in connection with selling illegal four-digit (4D) lottery tickets and cyber gambling in the state.
Sarawak Head of Criminal Investigation Department Datuk Dev Kumar said the arrest was made following 25 raids conducted over a week, beginning March 20 against illegal 4D operators and cyber gambling statewide.
In a statement here Monday, he said the suspects were aged between 17 and 40.
He said among others, RM14,154, mobile phones, portable printers, 40 computers, tablets and video machines for gambling were seized.
The 25 raids were carried out in Kuching, Padawan, Lawas, Limbang, Serian and Marudi. -- Bernama
