'Sarawak Report' news portal founder asked to reveal sources of funding

A former editor of the Sarawak Tribune newspaper has asked Sarawak Report news portal founder Clare Rewcastle-Brown to reveal the sources of her funding.
Lester Melanyi said, however, that Rewcastle-Brown would not be able to do this because she would then be revealing who her real boss was.
He said that if Rewcastle-Brown was a believer in transparency, " she should provide the Sarawak Report accounts and show us where her funding comes from".
Melanyi alleged that the news portal founder received funding from "very powerful people in Malaysia".
