JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia's Minister of the State and Member of the Cabinet, Prince Turki bin Mohammad bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, received here the Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI) Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali who is on an official visit to the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), both ministers will emphasise the bilateral relations between two countries and aspects of cooperation in various fields during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Advisor at the Royal Court Raafat bin Abdullah Al-Sabbagh and Malaysia's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Abd Razak Abdul Wahab.
On April 25, Bernama reported Mohamed Azmin will lead a trade and investment mission to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from April 26 until May 4, 2021.
The mission is part of MITI's continuous effort to promote business opportunities and strategic partnerships between Malaysia and the West Asian region.
The mission is aimed at keeping the momentum of economic relations between Malaysia and both countries, following the official visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to Saudi Arabia and the UAE in March, MITI said in a statement recently.
During the visit to Saudi Arabia, Mohamed Azmin is scheduled meet Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Director of The General Authority of Foreign Trade Dr Majid Abdullah Alkassabi; and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar I Al Khorayef, added the statement.
