Details on the opening date of schools will be discussed in a joint meeting of the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Ministry of Education tomorrow.
Director-General of Health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said he would meet with the Education Ministry on Tuesday to determine the appropriate date for its implementation.
However, he explained, the opening of schools will only involve Form Five and Form Six students in the first phase before it is open to all.
"So, if the date is set tomorrow, parents still have two weeks to prepare children to go back to school," he told a media conference here on Monday.
Elaborating on this, Dr Noor Hisham said that in the phase of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO), not only the economic sector would open but also other sectors including social, sports and education.
However, he said he would discuss the implementation in detail at the meeting tomorrow.
