A scuba diver is feared drowned after he fell off the Coral Island 3 ferry here, last night.
In the 8pm incident, Firdaus Mohamad Zulkifli, 19, from Baling, Kedah had reportedly slipped and fell from a ferry near the Kuala Perlis jetty.
The victim's friends on board the ferry noticed his disappearance after they heard him fell into the sea about five minutes after the ferry took off from the jetty.
His friends jumped into the ocean to rescue him but their search turned futile.
The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) personnel have been mobilised to the location for the search and rescue mission.
