Search to find missing youth from capsized boat continues today

The search and rescue operation to find a youth who went missing after the boat he was in capsized in the waters off Pontian on Friday, continued today.
Johor Fire and Rescue Department (Operations) assistant director Mohd Rizal Buang said the search for the missing victim Mohd Syami Hasing, 16, commenced at 7am today.
"Search and rescue operation conducted by our team from Pontian Baru at Tambak Pontian continues today," he said in a statement here today.
In the 3.30pm incident on Friday, eight fishermen fell into the sea after the boats they were in capsized in stormy seas off Pontian, at three separate locations in Rambah, Penerok and Pontian. Six of the fishermen managed to swim to safety while two others went missing.

One of the two missing fishermen, Muhammad Atif Hafifi Abd Manaf, 28, was found drowned at 8.35am yesterday by rescue team, one nautical mile from the coast of Rambah.
