Searchers have retrieved all the bodies trapped underneath the collapsed concrete span at the V-1 Kota Damansara area MRT construction site, said Selangor Fire and Rescue department operations director Mohd Sani Harul.
According to Mohd Sani, the second body was recovered around 1.52pm, followed by the third one at 1.59pm. All the victims are Mohammad Elahi Hossain, Mohamad Faruk Khan and Mohammad Alauddin Mollik.
The first victim retrieved at 1.26am -- has been identified as Mohammad Elahi Hossain, 26 who fell to his death -- after the span had dislodged from its piers and fallen on the ground which construction of the parapet was being carried out on the guide way.
The victims were believed to have trapped under a 300-tonne concrete span at the site.
Due to the collapse of the concrete span at the Kota Damansara MRT site, MRT Corp ordered all works at the V-1 Kota Damansara area to be halted immediately. Its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Datuk Wira Azhar Abdul Hamid said the reason is to enable investigations to be carried out.
