According to Wangsa Maju District Police Chief, Superintendent Rajab Ahad Ismail, the police has worked with the Nepal Embassy to locate the victim.
"On Wednesday evening, the 26-year-old man appeared at the Wangsa Maju District Police Headquarters and admitted to being the victim in the case.
"Complete evidence from the incident has been taken by the investigating officer and the victim has given full cooperation in assisting the investigation.
"The investigation paper is currently in the final process to be completed before being submitted to the Deputy Public Prosecutor's Office for further instructions," he said in a statement, on Thursday.
Commenting further, Rajab said that the police advised the public not to get involved in any criminal activity or strict action would be taken based on the law.
Last Monday, police arrested a Nepalese man to assist in the investigation of a case involving a security guard being beaten on social media.
