Sedition crackdown: Cops looking for Hishamuddin Rais

Bersih 2.0 steering committee member and activist Hishamuddin Rais is the last person on a list of five wanted individuals who police is looking for.

The other four—Mohd Tamrin Abdul Ghafar, Harris Fatillah Mohamed Ibrahim(Haris Ibrahim), Muahmmad Safwan Anang @ Talib, and Chua Tian Chang(Tian Chua)—were arrested earlier on Tuesday.

According to a statement by the deputy Kuala Lumpur police chief SAC Datuk Amar Singh Ishar Singh, warrants were issued for the arrest of the five under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act 1948.

“We have arrested the four and they are to come before the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court 1 on May 29 at 8.30am,” said Amar.
