Embattled Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said the move to remove him from his MB position a premature decision which cannot be carried out.

“It is a dangerous action which will only jeopardise the stability of the Selangor state government and the people,” he said in response to the show cause letter given by the party to him.

"It's an unfair decision, not only to me but to all members of the State Executive Council and the people of Selangor,” Abdul Khalid said in his reply, which was also posted on his Twitter.

He said such a move will also be construed by certain quarters that the Pakatan Rakyat is not able to manage a state properly.

On Tuesday, PKR’s disciplinary chairman Datuk Dr Tan Kee Kwong had issued a show cause letter to Abdul Khalid to explain why he refuse to abide by the party’s decision to replace him.

Abdul Khalid has three days to reply to the letter.

PKR has nominated its president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to replace Abdul Khalid.

But, PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat has thrown their support behind Abdul Khalid and want him to continue serving as the MB until his term expires.
Abdul Khalid stressed that he still hold the confidence of the majority at the state assembly.

He also hit out at the party for not taking any form of action or punishment against the former Kajang state assemblyman Lee Chin Cheh who had resigned in January, paving the way for ‘Kajang Move’.

“I had never agreed with the Kajang Move where the state assemblyman had resigned without a valid reason and I also regret that no disciplinary action has been taken against Chin Cheh. He was also allowed to contest at branch level,” Abdul Khalid said.

He said the move had smeared the party’s good name among Pakatan Rakyat component parties and the people of Selangor.
