After an apology from his wife who had admitted her mistake, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shaari took a similar responsibility today.

According to Amirudin, the spread of a photo of a Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) tanker truck 'sending' water to his house which was uploaded on his wife, Datin Seri Masdiana Muhamad’s social media account, it became the capital for certain parties to 'attack him'.

"This photo has been used by some parties to attack me. However, my wife and I apologise," said the Sungai Tua State Assemblyman (ADUN) in an official ceremony here.

Citing a Bernama report, Amirudin explained that the photo of the Air Selangor water tanker truck was uploaded by his wife to express her gratitude to the agency which helped deliver water to their residence.

Masdiana was criticised after uploading several photos at the Menteri Besar's official residence which showed a swimming pool and a water tanker truck, causing various speculations.

The post that was uploaded on her Instagram social media account, however, was deleted and her account was found to be no longer active.

However, on Sunday, Masdiana, came forward to apologise publicly after her action of uploading several photos on her social media regarding the water issue caused various negative reactions from many parties.

Masdiana, at the same time, also denied the allegation that the water tanker of Air Selangor Sdn Bhd at the residence was to fill the pool.
