Selangor to pay one-month bonus to state civil servants

Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim today announced a bonus of one month salary for 21,776 state civil servants in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri this year.

He said the state government had allocated RM30 million for the bonus which would be paid out at the end of the month at the latest.

"The bonus will be paid to permanent, contract and part-time staff," he said at a media conference, here.

Asked on the action of the state government in preventing the teachings of Syiah in Selangor, Abdul Khalid said he left the matter to the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais).

"Jais will take action on the matter. If it is necessary to take action on the groups practising the teachings, they (Jais) will take the cessary action," he added.
