Selecting candidate is important - Tan Sri Abdullah Ahmad

Pakatan Rakyat is still going through a rough road for the upcoming 13th General Election as the oppositions need to win 60 to 70 seats if they want to take over Putrajaya.
According to a former news editor, Tan Sri Abdullah Ahmad, this does not mean Barisan Nasional (BN) should stay in their comfort zone as a lot of possibilities could happen if they don’t choose the right candidates.
“The criteria for the candidates chosen are very important as it plays an important role in determining victory. This is because, voters nowadays look at the candidates’ credibility and not just the party’s logo anymore,” said Abdullah.
Abdullah said this while introducing his new book titled, “Berani Tanpa Segan”, explaining his experience working as Chief Editor at the New Straits Times on an interview session on Agenda Awani.
Besides standing up for language usage, his writing includes on politics, current affairs and on races.
