The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed a COVID-19 fatality from the Sendayan cluster in Negeri Sembilan.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the death occurred at a tahfiz centre there.
"Integrated actions are being carried out by healthcare personnel in the field and hopefully the infection can be prevented from spreading," he said on his Twitter account on Wednesday.
As of noon yesterday, MOH had announced 39 positive cases of COVID-19 were detected in the area, which is the latest cluster.
Of these, 13 tahfiz students were tested positive for COVID-19; members of the board of directors of a company (15); and 11 cases involving a family.
