The senior citizen who is believed to have hit a Peugeot 208 owned by a woman in Kuantan on Monday causing her to yield a steering lock against the man in a state of outrage is believed to have forgiven her.
Kuantan district chief of police , ACP Abd Aziz Salleh said that the 67-yer-ol retiree driving a Toyota was involved in a minor fender-fender with the 30-year-old woman at a parking lot of the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) in the district.
“The woman and the retiree had lodged a police report on the accident. The man claimed that the lady had grabbed his shirt and hit hit car using a steering lock several times. Although he had been advised by the police to lodge a report on the lady’s action, he refused to do so as he did not want to prolong the matter. He also forgave the woman,” said Abd Aziz when contacted by Astro AWANI today.
Abd Aziz also explained that the police had issued a summon to the retiree as it was a minor incident.
The woman’s action was however still under investigation.
The incident which took place on July 14 had outraged the woman causing her to remove her steering lock and confront the senior citizen, uttering words which included “Ini kereta barulah bodoh” while bashing the elderly man’s car.
She also said “I don’t care, pay me RM2,000 now!”, “you very stupid!” and other racial slurs towards the end of the video.
The incident was recorded by members of the public and uploaded on various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and also YouTube which later went viral.
