The Member of Parliament for Sepang, Mohamed Hanipa Maidin was rushed to hospital at about 5.30 pm after he was found to be unconscious when the Dewan Rakyat sitting was adjourned for 15 minutes today.
M Kulasegaran (DAP-Ipoh Barat), when approached by reporters, said Mohamed Hanipa did not come out of the House during recess, and he together with Charles Santiago (DAP-Klang) had approached Mohamed Hanipa and found that he was unconscious on his chair.
"He was later taken on a wheelchair to the Parliament clinic and subsequently rushed to Kuala Lumpur Hospital," he told reporters at the Parliament Lobby here.
Kulasegaran said that earlier, Mohamed Hanipa was said to have complained of feeling nauseous and weak shortly before the recess.
The House was adjourned for 15 minutes to make way for Dr Michael Jeyakumar Devaraj (PSM-Sungai Siput) to move the motion on the amendments to the Companies Bill 2015 to the Select Committee.
Earlier, Mohamed Hanipa was actively debating with the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin on the Bill.
Mohamed Hanipa has been the MP for Sepang since 2013 after winning the seat on a PAS ticket before joining Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) last year.
