KUALA LUMPUR: Seremban district in Negeri Sembilan will be placed under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) beginning tomorrow until Nov 18.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said it covers nine sub-districts, namely Ampangan, Seremban, Seremban town, Labu, Rantau, Rasah, Setul, Pantai and Lenggeng.
“The same standard operating procedures (SOPs) for CMCO, as previously announced, will apply,” he said in a media conference on Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) developments here today.
He also said that the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) at the Seberang Perai prison and its staff quarters has been extended for another 14 days beginning Thursday until Nov 18.
This was because new COVID-19 cases were still being detected in the locality as of Nov 1, he said.
Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri said the EMCO in the Northern Zone and Selangor prisons will end tomorrow after a drop in COVID-19 cases there, with the situation now under control.
The ones in the northern zone are the Perlis Correctional Centre, Sungai Petani Prison, Taiping Prison, Kamunting Correctional Prison and Tapah Prison while the Selangor zone involves the Sungai Buloh Remand Prison, Kajang Prison, Kajang Women's Prison and Puncak Alam Correctional centre,” he said.
On RMCO compliance, he said the police detained 381 individuals yesterday for flouting directives, with 372 compounded and nine others remanded.
Ismail Sabri said not wearing face masks made up the highest number with 151 individuals, followed by premises which failed to provide entry and exit records (66).
