Seven more flight delays, one cancelled in Kuching due to haze

As of 6pm today, seven more flights were delayed due to the haze at the Kuching International Airport.
Airport senior manager Mohd Nadzim Hashim said this brings to 15 the number of flights which had been delayed since the airport resumed operations at 5.30am, today.
"Five arrivals and two departures were delayed as of 6 pm," he said, adding that 1,039 passengers were affected by these delays.
Mohd Nadzim said the delayed flights involved MasWings flights using Twin Otter and ATR aircraft.
Meanwhile, Mohd Nadzim said, AirAsia was among 22 airlines which cancelled and rescheduled its flights today.
He said with the rescheduling, the number of cancelled flights was 25, comprising 22 AirAsia and three MasWings flights, affecting 2,932 passengers.
The AIr Pollutant Index (API) reading at 8pm in Kuching was 113, Samarahan (114) and Sri Aman (97).
