S'gor govt tables white paper on Talam debt, water

The Selangor government, had yesterday, tabled white paper to clarify the debt of Talam Corporation Berhad and the status of water restructuring in the state.

Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said the tabling of the two white papers was to allow of Selangor people to scrutinise and understand the two issues.

The white paper can be downloaded via the state official website www.selangor.gov.my and the media website www.selangorku.com.my today.

"The public can scrutinise documents related to debt collection kept in the Selangor assembly office but are subjected to procedures under the Freedom of Information Act," he told reporters after the Selangor state assembly sitting here.

The white paper on Talam Corporation would allow Selangor people to know about the company's debt and how the state government settled it.
