Employees and the public inside buildings within the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Court Complex here were evacuated this morning due to a bomb threat, the second since November last year.
The police immediately told them to assemble at an open car park while the bomb disposal unit, including sniffing-dogs combed the buildings for bombs.
After one hour, the search yielded negative results and the court complex was declared safe.
Shah Alam deputy police chief Supt Mazlan Othman said the police were alerted by the court at 8.40 am that an employee had received a call from a man claiming that bombs had been planted at the cafeteria and the basement of the court complex.
"The call was a hoax. However, the court employees and the public were advised to call the police if they see or stumble upon a suspicious-looking object," he said.
Mazlan said the bomb disposal unit was placed on standby at the courthouse until noon as a precautionary measure.
