Shell to remove 'mineral water' standees after 'harassment' episodes

Following a series of alleged immoral acts by several individuals, Shell said it will be pulling down the “mineral water” girl giant standees from all their oil stations with immediate effect.
The standee cut-out posters featured a Malay woman model, who is known as Nor Shafila Khairusalleh, 25.
Nor Shafila photos had been the focus of irresponsible quarters, taking lewd photos before posting the images on their social media pages. Some of the images which had been making their rounds on social media included hands on the 'private' parts and kissing her cheeks
“We do not agree with the indecent acts, which is seen totally against the Malaysian culture and moral values of Shell,” it said in a statement.
According to the statement, Shell also urged Internet users to no longer spread the edited images.
The standee of the girl caught the public’s attention after it was placed beside every oil pumping units at Shell stations around the country as part of the company's promotional campaign.
