Shopping centre motorcycle theft duo nabbed in Penang

Police believe thay have crippled a motorcycle theft gang with the arrest of two men in a raid at Taman Sentul here early today.
Seberang Perai Tengah police chief ACP Rusli Mohd Noor said police acting on intelligence, raided a rented house at 1am and discovered a motorcycle that had been reported stolen recently.
The suspects aged 26 and 30 were asleep at the time.
Various motorcycle components were also found inside one of the rooms, he said when contacted here today.
Rusli said initial investigations revealed that the suspects had been targeting motorcycles at shopping centres in their modus operandi.
"They would sell off the stolen motorcycles cheaply or dismantle the machines before selling off the components," he said.
