Siblings drowning: Third body found, SAR operations ended

A search and rescue team (SAR) found the last body of three brothers in a drowning incident in Sungai Terengganu in Kampung Kuala Telemong here on Thursday.
The body of Khalif Naim Mohd, 16, was found about 20 meters from the location of the second victim at 12.40 pm.
Earlier, the body of the first victim, Umar Iskandar Mohd, 21, was found at about 9.50 am, about 100 meters from where they were all reported missing on Wednesday afternoon.
Less than two hours later, the body of Khairil Firdaus Mohd, 17, was found not far from the location.
Terengganu Fire and Rescue Department director Md Hilman Abd Rashid said the location of all the victims was found with the help of K9 Unit tracker dogs from Jalan Klang Lama, Kuala Lumpur before the scuba unit continued the search.
"During last night's SAR operation, we did a search on the surface and found no clue and had to stop the operation at midnight.
"The operation resumed this morning with a team of tracker dogs (K9) from Kuala Lumpur.
"Two tracker dogs were able to locate the bodies of the three victims in the river before the rescue team searched the riverbed," he said here Thursday.
On Wednesday, the three brothers were drowned while swimming in Sungai Terengganu, about 300 meters from their home, around 6 pm.
