Simpang Renggam EMCO ends on Tuesday - Ismail Sabri
The Simpang Renggam EMCO came into force on March 27 after 61 people in both areas were identified as COVID-19 positive.
The Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in Kampung Dato Ibrahim Majid and Bandar Baru Ibrahim Majid, Simpang Renggam, Kluang, Johor will be ended on Tuesday.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the decision would include all restrictions imposed on the people in the two areas.
"All lockdown restrictions will be lifted at the Simpang Renggam EMCO," he said at a press conference here today.
The Simpang Renggam EMCO came into force on March 27 after 61 people in both areas were identified as COVID-19 positive.
It affects more than 3,570 locals from 700 families in the two villages.
Ismail also said the EMCO in Sungai Lui, Hulu Langat, Selangor that involved the tahfiz center and a house has been extended for another week until May 5.
